“Wine Country Soda”

I found a couple of interesting looking sodas today at Whole Foods: Vignette Wine Country Soda in Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. Non-alcoholic and essentially just grape juice mixed with sparkling water, if I remember the ingredients label correctly. But they were pretty, and around $1.50. Not too bad for a specialty soda.

I wasn’t quite in the mood for one, so I didn’t get one. I’ll probably look for it again though sometime in the future, at which point it will get something of a review.

Soda Review: Curiosity Cola

Amazingly cool soda in an amazingly cool bottle

Amazingly cool soda in an amazingly cool bottle

Fentiman’s of Newcastle Upon Tyne in the UK makes a great cola, “botanically brewed” and, amusingly, containing less than 0.5% alcohol by volume. You don’t see that on too many sodas these days. It’s a little gingery, but still one of the best independent colas I’ve had. And the bottle and label design is great! I’m saving this one for flowers.
